Frequently Asked.
Orders & Shipping
When will my order ship?
We roast Tuesday through Friday and ship every Wednesday. If you order by Monday night, your coffee goes out on the upcoming Wednesday. Later in the week, it ships the following Wednesday.
Where do you ship?
Anywhere in the US. Orders shipping outside the continental US go USPS. We don't currently ship internationally.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping on orders over $75.
How do I track my order?
You'll get an email with a tracking link the day your order ships.
I need to change my shipping address.
Email support@coffeeha.us as soon as you can. If we haven't pulled your order for fulfillment, we'll update it. After it's shipped you'll need to work with the carrier.
What if there's a delay on green coffee?
We import raw beans from origin, so sometimes shipments get held up. If a delay affects your order, we'll email you with what's happening and offer options (swap, wait, refund). You won't be left guessing.
Something arrived damaged or wrong.
Send us a photo at support@coffeeha.us and we'll make it right.
Coffee & Brewing
How fresh is the coffee when it ships?
Every bag goes out within days of roasting. We roast Tuesday through Friday and ship every Wednesday.
What's the roast level of your coffees?
We roast mostly light and medium. We're after flavors that are easy to recognize without losing the personality of the bean. You can filter by roast on the shop page.
Why don't your tasting notes lead with origin?
Origin matters, but flavor matters more. We lead with what the coffee actually tastes like (chocolate, fruit, citrus) so you can choose by what you'll enjoy. Origin is there on the product page if you want to dig in.
Whole bean or pre-ground?
Whole bean keeps coffee fresher for longer, so we recommend it if you have a grinder. If you don't, we'll grind it to match your brew method. Pick the grind at checkout.
What grind size do I need?
Espresso, Turkish, or moka pot: fine. Drip and pour-over: medium. French press and cold brew: coarse. Each product page has a grind guide if you want more detail.
My coffee doesn't taste like the notes. What's going on?
Tasting notes are a starting point, not a guarantee. What you get depends on grind size, water temperature, water quality, ratio, and how fresh your beans are. Email support@coffeeha.us with what you're brewing on and we'll help you dial in.
Is your coffee organic or fair trade?
We source from importers who prioritize fair pricing and transparent producer compensation. We don't carry specific certifications on every coffee, but we tell you exactly where each one comes from on its product page.
Subscriptions
How do subscriptions work?
Pick a coffee, pick a delivery frequency (weekly, biweekly, monthly), and we send it on the next available shipping date. You save automatically vs one-off orders.
Can I pause or cancel anytime?
Yes. Log into your account to pause, skip, or cancel. No commitment, no penalty.
Can I swap coffees on a subscription?
Yes. Edit your subscription from your account and pick a different coffee for your next shipment.
How do I change frequency or shipping date?
From your account. You can change cadence or move your next ship date. If anything feels stuck, email support@coffeeha.us.
Bundles
How does the bundle discount work?
Build a bundle of three coffees and your discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Can I mix sizes and grinds in a bundle?
Yes. Each coffee in your bundle can be a different size and grind. You build it.
Can I save a bundle as a subscription?
Not yet. Bundles are one-time orders for now.
Wholesale
Who is wholesale for?
Cafés, restaurants, hotels, offices, retail shops, anyone serving coffee, tea, or matcha to customers, clients, or staff. Apply on the wholesale page.
What's the minimum order?
No minimum on standard wholesale orders. Private label and 12oz retail bags have a 6-bag minimum.
How quickly do you respond to applications?
Within 1 to 2 business days. We review every application, no auto-decline.
Do you do private label?
Yes, we offer multiple tiers of private label options. Mention private label in your application and we'll walk through the right fit.
Consulting
What kinds of consulting do you offer?
Menu support, specialty drink development, staff training, equipment setup, health department prep, and full café build-outs. Pick what you need or we'll scope it together.
Do you work with cafés that aren't open yet?
Yes. New build is a big part of what we do, from idea stage through opening day.
What does a typical engagement look like?
Depends on the project. A menu refresh might be a one-time review; a build-out is a multi-month engagement with regular check-ins. Submit an inquiry on the consulting page and we'll scope it.
Repairs
What equipment do you repair?
Espresso machines and grinders, plus most of the rest of the bar. If you have something specific, just ask.
Do you service outside metro Detroit?
Not at the moment. We cover Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
What's the emergency response time?
Same-day callback for bar-down situations. Submit through the emergency form on the repairs page and we'll call you back as fast as we can. Weekend emergencies may have a longer response time.
Classes
How do I sign up for a class?
Pick a class on the education page and click through to book a seat. Each class has a fixed date and limited group size.
What if I can't make my scheduled class?
Email support@coffeeha.us at least 48 hours before to reschedule or get a refund. Less than 48 hours and we'll do our best to swap you to a future session.
Are classes private or open to the public?
Public, with small group sizes listed on each class page. Private group bookings are available on request; email support@coffeeha.us.
